When it comes to investing your assets, the first question should not be what you are investing in, it should be where is your money and how safe is it? Varsity Strategic Management has recognized this and put together a series of safety measures to ensure that client assets are never at risk because of where they are invested.

Custodian

All client assets are held through independent third party custodians. As VSM is located in Barbados, the primary custodian is Cidel Bank & Trust, a Barbados licensed International Financial Institution.

As such All VSM accounts are subject to the strict rules and regulations as provided by the Barbados International Financial Services Act (2002). All client accounts must be properly documented to demonstrate the beneficial owner and the source of funds.

Investment Products and Services

The investment services and products provided by VSM through its custody relationships are also carefully vetted and scrutinized. All such investments are sub-custodied with world class investment institutions in reputable jurisdictions..

Our custodians are carefully chosen based on credibility of their jurisdiction and the quality of their regulation and supervising body. All custodians segregate assets held for clients from those of their own and as such, client assets are protected from any financial risk relating to the custodian.

Proceeds of Crime and Money Laundering

Barbados has strict legislation in order to combat money laundering and proceeds of crime. VSM complies to this legislation in full and requires all clients to provide appropriate due diligence including background information and references.

Varsity Strategic Management Ltd. is a Barbados registered and licensed International Business Corporation. VSM is audited on an annual basis as is required under the Barbados International Business Corporations Act.
